Treatment options
Self ligating Braces like the Damon System are fixed braces that use a passive slide or active clip that secures the high technology arch wire to bracket. When passive they reduce the force exerted and are more gentle. They require less appointment time and visits and do not require elastic ties. These are easier to maintain , more comfortable and high performing bracket systems
Patient can opt for metal or ceramic options.
Invisalign is the clear aligners option. These are removable, nearly invisible and comfortable set of aligners that straighten teeth by gentle , predictable movement.
Since the aligners are comfortable and removable the patient can eat without restrictions during the treatment as well as brushing and flossing is much easier .As they are not fixed to teeth they require patient cooperation for wear time and to achieve results.
Dr Ila uses an Itero™ digital scan to map her patient’s hard and soft tissues. Subsequently through 3 D simulation, she meticulously analyses patient concerns and problem areas and designs each treatment.
The Invisalign treatment is available both for Adults and as well as kids and teens
Conventional Metal Braces are the most common type of fixed braces and made of high grade stainless steel. They are contoured to tooth surface and have a low profile design and move teeth with the help of arch wires secured with elastic ties. You can opt for your choice of elastics to add some colour to your smile.
Conventional Ceramic Braces are nearly invisible braces that provide as aesthetic option for patients .

It is advised to see an orthodontist as early as 6 to 9years to assess the growth of jaws and development of bite and space for eruption of teeth. An early visit may help in correcting jaw growth and bite as well as maintain and gain space for the erupting teeth.
In this crucial phase minor issues can be addressed to avoid major intervention later.
Also this phase helps the children with developing malocclusion to smoothly transition to adult treatment in case indicated.
The second phase of treatment starts at around 11 to 13 years of age to achieve a proper bite, alignment of teeth, relation of jaws And an pleasing natural smile. This phase is followed up with a retention phase to maintain the results achieved.
